Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
This policy explains what cookies we use on eventartisan.com (the “Platform”) and the choices you have. It is provided alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers our broader handling of personal information.
Event Artisan is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States and Canada. Information collected through the Platform is processed in the United States.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information your browser stores while you use a website. They let the site remember things between page loads — that you’re signed in, what’s in your cart, that you just submitted a form rather than a malicious script pretending to be you.
We use cookies only when they are necessary to provide the service you’ve asked for. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, retargeting, or behavioural tracking. That’s why you don’t see a consent banner when you visit — there’s nothing optional to consent to.
What we use cookies for
To run your account and complete your purchase
Whenever you visit the Platform we set a small number of cookies that:
- keep you signed in as you move between pages,
- remember what you’ve added to your cart and which step of checkout you’re on,
- protect the forms you submit (login, checkout, refunds) from being submitted by a third party impersonating you,
- if you tick “Remember me” when signing in, keep you signed in across browser restarts until you sign out.
These cookies are set by us. Most expire when you close your browser or shortly after; the “Remember me” cookie, if you choose to use it, can last up to five years. You can clear all of them at any time through your browser settings (see below), or by signing out.
To take your payment safely
When you reach the checkout step, your browser also receives cookies set by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe uses these to detect fraudulent card use during your purchase. We don’t load these cookies on any other page — only on the page where you’re actually paying.
Stripe is responsible for the cookies it sets under its own policies. You can read Stripe’s cookie policy here. These cookies last from the duration of a single checkout up to around one year, depending on their purpose.
That’s the complete picture. Two categories, both necessary for the service to work; no optional or tracking cookies.
What we do not use
For the avoidance of doubt, the Platform does not currently use:
- web-analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Plausible-with-cookies, or similar),
- advertising or retargeting cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, TikTok Pixel, or similar),
- session-replay tools (Hotjar, FullStory, and similar),
- A/B testing or personalisation cookies,
- social-media share-button cookies,
- live-chat or support-widget cookies that track visitors across sites.
If we ever add anything from that list, we will update this policy and present a clear consent prompt before loading those services in any jurisdiction where opt-in consent is required.
Other services we rely on
Some third-party services run on the Platform without setting tracking cookies. We mention them here for transparency:
- Stripe — our payment processor, as described above. Cookies are set by Stripe on the checkout step only.
- Bunny Fonts — provides the typeface used in our interface. We chose this provider because it does not set cookies and does not log visitors’ IP addresses for tracking purposes.
If your role on the Platform involves connecting a Stripe account to receive payouts (event organisers), you will briefly be redirected to Stripe’s own site to complete that setup. While there, Stripe may set additional cookies under its own controllership, separate from this Platform.
How to manage cookies
Because the cookies we use are necessary for the Platform to function, there is nothing to switch off in our interface. You can still clear or block them through your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Be aware that blocking these cookies will prevent the Platform from working: you won’t be able to sign in, your cart won’t persist, and Stripe is likely to decline your payment as suspicious.
We honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as defined by California’s CCPA/CPRA and similar laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, and Texas. We do not currently engage in those activities, so the signal has no practical effect today, but we record it for compliance purposes.
Mobile companion app
If you use the Event Artisan mobile app (currently available for Android, for event organisers), this policy does not apply — the mobile app does not use cookies. It authenticates with a token stored on the device. Its data handling will be described in our Mobile Privacy Notice.
Children
The Platform is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the Platform, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy whenever our cookie footprint changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. If we add any cookie that is not necessary for the Platform to function, we will request your consent before setting it in jurisdictions where opt-in is required.
